In spite of my best intentions I have started fucking around in projects that are not Lionheart. (I'm sorry KUMADA orz). I blame the game jam which has got me thinking broadly about different collabs and side projects and whatnot and got a lot of wheels turning. I'm not actually starting a new game, though, just messing around with scripts and graphics and such. of course that's how it always starts isn't it

The unmentioned truth here is that...thieving assholes that REALLY want to steal stuff are going to find a way no matter how you secure your project. That's just the nature of the internet.

Liberty makes a good point. At first I didn't notice because tits but yeah...that is gross. Like, grosser than camel toe gross.
This, though, is (unfortunately?) defeated with the same logic/rhetoric that "why are swords better than guns". Her preference for fighting in a bikini is easily explained away.
Clearly this character has so much magical powahs at her fingertips (and in her sword) that she can't be arsed with no 'clothes' let alone armor fuck that shit bullets bounce off her unusually high navel because her bikini is enchanted. Maybe that's just her style.
My post before I saw Liberty's post was just going to be this:

Also... she's going to have a hell of a time with both saggy breasts and scars, fighting in that skimpy outfit. There is literally no protection and you can't even argue that it's for swift movement since she's wearing a cloak that will get in the way at every opportunity. It's like she just forgot to get dressed and threw on the cloak to get the mail after waking up one morning, only to get dragged along on an adventure in her underwear. >.<;

I don't see any way of enforcing that and it would be kind of a dick rule. That said I think I did encrypt Lionheart primarily out of courtesy to the people selling the High Fantasy resources, not wanting to just give away all of them for free.
But I don't believe any such clause was in the end user license or anything (not that anybody reads those). And now that I've got so many 'bought' resources and I'm gonna be making so many games with them, I'm almost certainly going to slip up and give some away for free with one of my games one of these days.

But then there's still a 1% chance the other skill could work. Also, that's not how state rate works! It's multiplicative. 0.01 * 1.00 = 0.01.

I went 1% instead of 0% because I wasn't sure if it was multiplicative or just 'replaces'. My original instinct was to say 'have the base enemy state rate be 0%' but I didn't go with that because I thought that maybe 100% * 0 = 0...I only didn't carry that line of thinking to conclude that 100% * 0.01% = .1% because...well derp. Because derp.
But then again I mean if the second state is sticking regularly when the first state is inflicted, as Screedle indicated then maybe it isn't multiplicative and just replaces the base State Rate Trait (too many rhyming words)? I honestly have no idea.

Basically speaking, to accomplish this, every enemy should have a State Rate 1% Trait for State 2. Then, give State 1 a State Rate 100% Trait for State 2. Boom....you're good to go.

I do generally hope that if someone IS going to lock a project, they make absolutely sure it's not broken first. There are few things more annoying in the RM sphere than getting stuck in a game due to a problem I could easily fix myself in the editor, and being unable to fix it.
My stance on locking projects has wavered a lot over the years. Nowadays, generally speaking I'm not going to condemn anyone for locking their projects anymore but I will still applaud people who don't. Sharing is awesome.

Ok guys I am going to do this publicly rather than by PM because it seems...nicer? Less schemy? I don't know. I had an internet outage for the last 12 hours by the way. It was supposed to be a lot longer too but I guess we got lucky.
UNITY AND SLASH, in spite of having *no idea* what slashphoenix's game making output even looks like, I am down to join your team to jam on pretty much any sort of game if you want me.
